The interesting history of Spring Valley, along with the residents' perserverence to survive, is marvelled at by all. The construction of the Eau Galle River Dam, located on the north end of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, brought an end to the destructive floods that ravaged the village since its beginning. Now, one of the world's largest earthen dams protects the town and provides a haven for its residents and tourists alike to enjoy the beauty of nature. While you're here you can relax on a sandy beach, tour a cave or cheese factory, play a great round of golf, fish on the river or lake, see the historic sites, and enjoy nature trails on foot, bike, or horseback.
